The classification itself is SHIRO & Co. observational interpretation. It is not an objective scientific fact.
分類自体は SHIRO & Co. の観測的解釈である。客観的な科学的事実ではない。
FACT事実
OBSERVED FACT
- LinkedIn documents Hiring Assistant as able to create recruiting projects, source candidates, evaluate candidates or applicants, summarize qualifications, support outreach, prescreen candidates, and help recruiters review applicants.
- LinkedIn's published product language states that recruiters remain in the loop and make final hiring decisions. That statement is a manufacturer claim, recorded here as such.
- U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission guidance states that software, algorithms, and artificial intelligence used to hire or to inform employment decisions can be selection procedures under Title VII.
- The same EEOC materials state that an employer may remain subject to employment-discrimination obligations when it uses algorithmic tools, including tools provided by a vendor.
INTERPRETATION解釈
SHIRO & Co. INTERPRETATION
Hiring shows that Human Reserve can exist at one layer while upstream filtering is already automated.
A human may retain the final hiring decision while never seeing candidates the AI did not surface.
採用は、ある層に Human Reserve が残っていても、上流の濾過がすでに自動化されうることを示す。
人間は最終採用決定を保持していても、AIが提示しなかった候補者を見ないままでありうる。
Uncertainty
UNCERTAINTY
- This record does not interpret a specific employer's legal liability beyond the cited EEOC guidance.
- How much of the visible candidate set is already filtered before a recruiter sees it is not measured here.
- Candidate sourcing and ranking may already be heavily delegated even where final authority is reserved.
Signal
Final human authority does not guarantee human control over the upstream decision space.
Human Reserve question
Is a hiring decision meaningfully human if AI determined which candidates became visible to the human decision-maker?
人間の意思決定者に見える候補者をAIが決めていたなら、その採用決定は意味ある意味で人間のものか。
Human Reserve implication
Reserved final authority can coexist with a machine-shaped choice set.

- H4 — RESERVED
- Confidence
- Observed + Inference
H4 applies to consequential final employment authority. Sourcing and ranking are not classified as H4.
Delegation boundary
ALLOW covers sourcing, search, summarization, some candidate evaluation, and some outreach support. HOLD covers shortlist construction and applicant interpretation. Consequential final employment decision is treated as reserved human authority unless a specific deployment shows otherwise.
Authority boundary
The recruiter or employing institution retains final authority in the documented product claim. H4 is applied specifically to that final employment authority, not to every recruiting subtask.
Accountability boundary
Employer responsibility remains important even when third-party AI tools participate in evaluation. Accountability is not automatically transferred to the model or the platform provider.
