THE ASSEMBLY separates several observational layers. They are measurement aids for the current experimental record, not validated scientific instruments.

Observational layers
Normative core
The named primary value a seat is protecting in a given judgment.
Recognition
Adjacent moral structure that appears in reasoning without being named as the core.
Promotion
Adjacent structure that is taken into the named primary-value expression.
Boundary form
How the named core is elaborated: compact, extended, qualified, or ambiguous.
Reasoning topology
The kind of argumentative path used, such as individual, procedural, or ecological reasoning.
Recognition and promotion
Promotion requires recognition. Distinct promoted values must be a subset of recognized values. Mention is not recognition, and recognition is not promotion.

Boundary form
COMPACT
The core value is named without distinct adjacent-value promotion.
EXTENDED
Distinct adjacent normative values are promoted into the named core.
QUALIFIED
The same core is elaborated through conditions, affected groups, or application constraints without promoting distinct additional values.
AMBIGUOUS
The available output does not support a defensible classification.
The current formal Phase 3 measurement overlay is phase3-boundary-v2. It does not rewrite stored raw outputs or earlier derived records.
